As we all know, the last year has been hell on the economy, and in particular, the financial industry. This has had the unfortunate effect of making it very difficult to extend credit to the everyday person. People who believed that they were in good credit standing are now getting their credit limit cut without being told why.

Even though the prices of cars and homes are down, it is too difficult for most people to receive loans, although this time last year banks and credit card companies would have been jumping all over themselves to extend credit to these people. I know that it seems grim but there are still ways that the average person can receive a loan. They just need to know how.

The rules that you will need to follow is dependent on the circumstances of why you need the loan. Big loans will have a different set of rules than small loans. You have to remember that banks and other vendors make money when they give out loans, so they want to give you one. They just have been hit so hard by this economic crisis that they have to be careful because they can not afford to be burned by bad investments anymore.

So if you are looking for a big loan, which is something over $10,000, then along with having good credit a good ideal would be the come up with the biggest down payment that you can. If the bank is asking for a down payment of five percent, give them ten percent. This goes a long way so that you can show them that you are serious and that you will be able to make the payments.

An alternative to putting down a large down payment is to have a good amount of personal paid for assets that you would not mind putting up for collateral while applying for secured or unsecured loans. There are also others who might consider alternative option like Insurance and Credit Factoring where the policies are placed as collateral. This will also show them how serious you are about this loan. Remember the banks want to loan you the money, they just need reassurances about your credit worthiness.

If you are looking for a small loan it is a lot easier because there are other outlets besides banks that you can go to. A bank does not make that much money when it comes to small loans, so believe it or not a big loan is probably easier to get than a small loan. If a bank is going to put a default on their record, they would rather put it on a big loan, that someone would buy from them, than a small one which no one would.

There are plenty of quick cash advance places in your neighborhood and online that could help you out of a quick jam. Places to get cash advance loans online are plenty and are valuable resource. Just remember to make sure that you are able to pay for it in a short amount of time because the interest rates tend to be a little higher. These should be used only in an emergency and not for something that you simply just want.

As we have shown there are still ways for the average person with decent credit to still get loans, you just have to work a little bit harder than before. This is why it is a good ideal to keep your credit score up and also keep plenty of cash stored away. You never know when you might need it.

A lot of the professionals out there are starting to sing the joys of Bio Tech since the election of Barack Obama to president. You might be asking yourself what the hell is BioTech? According to wikipedia which has been the easiest to consume definition that I have found it basically means, “technology based on biology, especially when used in agriculture, food science, and medicine“. That is basically what it is in a nut shell. So okay thanks for the definition now what does this have to do with Obama? Ah my young padawan(star wars reference) I am slowly getting there.

The reason that a lot of analyst and investors are so bullish on BioTech stocks is because of the primaries and the elections. Now you are scratching your head wondering what I am talking about. What I am talking about is that the second biggest issue besides the economy itself was Healthcare. Democrats are looking to become more actively involved in the distrubution of health insurance and preventive medicine. They are looking to bring health insurance to all US citizens as well as educate citizens about living a more healthy lifestyle. This means that more tax dollars will be pumped into insurance, which means that more people will start to go to the doctors more often, which means doctors will be prescribing more emergency treatments, pills and other medicines at a higher rate. A lot of these medicines and medical treatments will be engineered by bio tech companies.

If this is the case why start with low man on the totem pole and just invest in pharmaceuticals or insurance companies? Those are nice investments but we are looking for deals in this marketplace. Something that will be cheap to buy(even cheaper due to bad economy) which lessens my risk and that can have a huge upside. Doing this also calls for doing your homework. If you are not willing to do your homework then avoid this post all together. The cheaper a stock is the riskier it becomes in most cases. That’s why we will really avoid talking about penny stocks in this blog. Most Bio Tech companies are still hidden gems just waiting for the approval to bring their baby to life.

Also a good reason to look at Bio Tech companies due to the election of a democrat is the sure to come lessing of genetic restrictions that we have now. Democrats tend to be a little more science friendly than republicans and a lot of Bio Tech companies deal in Genetic testing. So things such as stem cell research and cloning might be less restricted now that we have a democrat in office. Those two items alone would be world shattering if any breakthroughs were made in those areas in the next four years.

There is a whole list of food innovations that will happen but I think that would happen under any administration and not just a democratic one. Even though a democrat may have one downside when it comes to that aspect. Democrats tend to frown on genetic modifying of food products so there might be more regulation when it comes to that field. So be on the lookout for these Bio Tech companies and maybe you can spot a bargain.

The only industry that was up was Government jobs. Ladies and Gentlemen meet recession, recession meet the people. You are hearing reports that the economy is bad. The economy isn’t bad, it’s hell on a hot plate. The highest unemployment got in the 2001 recession was 6.3%, we are already at 6.5% and most economist believe that this recession is only at the beginning. I am not telling you this to scare you, only to warn you that don’t believe anyone trying to sugar coat what kind of trouble the economy is in.

Before the economy busted you kept hearing the talking heads on TV say the the fundamentals of the economy were good and that the media were trumping the problem up. I have not seen not one of those talking heads say, “oops my bad, I was wrong”. The stock market is indeed influence by news but it also is influence by the realities of what was going on in everyday life. The tech bubble that blew earlier this decade was bad but this recession is a whole different kind of monster. We are talking about housing, the biggest investment most Americans will make in their life. Last year around this time you would keep hearing on TV that the “sub prime crisis was contained”. Obviously they were wrong. This is not the time for I told you so, this is the time to listen to your gut more than any talking heads on television. You know better than any professional whether your financial portfolio is sound enough to start spending and investing again.
